Importance of Physical Exercise

A Dialogue Between Myself and My Friend About Physical Exercise

Myself: Hi Rahim! How are you?

My friend: I am not well (ভালো). What about you?

Myself: I am fine (ভালো). But why are you not well?

My friend: I always feel weak (দুর্বল) and tired (ক্লান্ত). What should I do to feel better (আরো ভালো)?

Myself: Do you take any physical exercise (শারীরিক ব্যায়াম)?

My friend: No, I don’t. I don’t think it helps (সাহায্য করে). Is exercise (ব্যায়াম) really important (গুরুত্বপূর্ণ)?

Myself: Yes, of course! Exercise makes our body (শরীর) strong (শক্তিশালী) and keeps us healthy (সুস্থ). It saves (রক্ষা করে) us from many diseases (রোগ).

My friend: Really (সত্যি)? Does it help in any other way (উপায়ে)?

Myself: Yes. Exercise keeps our mind (মন) fresh (সতেজ) and gives us new energy (শক্তি) to work (কাজ) and study (পড়ালেখা).

My friend: What else does it do?

Myself: It helps our body parts (শরীরের অঙ্গ-প্রত্যঙ্গ) work (কাজ) well and helps us eat and digest food (খাবার হজম করা) properly.

My friend: Now I understand (বুঝতে পারছি) that exercise is very important for a healthy (সুস্থ) and happy (সুখী) life. When should I take exercise?

Myself: You can take exercise in the morning (সকাল) or in the evening (সন্ধ্যা). But don’t do too much (খুব বেশি) — that can be bad (খারাপ) for your health.

My friend: What kind of exercise should I do?

Myself: You can play football or cricket, go for a walk (হাঁটা), or do some light yoga (হালকা যোগব্যায়াম).

My friend: Thank you for your kind advice (দয়ালু উপদেশ/পরামর্শ).

Myself: You are welcome (স্বাগতম/তোমাকে ধন্যবাদ), my friend.

A dialogue between myself and my friend about the necessity of taking regular physical exercise.

Myself: Hi Rahim, how’re you?

My friend: I’m not well. But what about you?

Myself: I’m fine. But will you tell me why you are not well?

My friend: Because I always feel unwell and I do not get energy to work. Will you please tell me how I can get rid of it?

Myself: Do you take any exercise?

My friend: I don’t like it. I don’t see anything good in it. Is physical exercise important for us?

Myself: Of course. Physical exercise is useful to us in many ways. It makes our body strong and protects us from many diseases. To ensure the fitness of body and mind there is no alternative but to take regular physical exercise.

My friend: Is it necessary for any other way?

Myself: Yea. Physical exercise gives us other benefits too. It refreshes our body and mind and gives us new energy to work.

My friend: Can you tell me any other importance of it?

Myself: Sure. It helps our muscles and nerves work properly. Again, it improves our appetite for food and digestion and prevents the decay of the body.

My friend: Now I understand that physical exercise is necessary for our healthy and happy life. But when should I take exercise?

Myself: You can take exercise in the early morning and in the evening. But remember that over exercise is harmful for our health.

My friend: But what kind of exercise should I take?

Myself: You can play cricket or football or walk in the morning and in the evening. You may also practice Yoga twice a day.

My friend: Thank you for your valuable suggestion.

Myself: You are most welcome.
