A Thirsty Crow

One hot day, a crow was very thirsty. He looked everywhere for water but could not find any river or pond. He felt very sad and thought he would die of thirst.

At last, he saw a jar. There was little water inside. He tried to drink it, but his beak could not reach the water. He became worried.

Then he saw some small stones near the jar. The crow got an idea! He picked up the stones and dropped them into the jar one by one.

Soon, the water came up. The crow drank the water and flew away happily.

এক মজার কাক

একদিন গরমের দিনে, একটি কাক খুব তৃষ্ণার্ত ছিল। সে জলের জন্য সর্বত্র খুঁজছিল কিন্তু কোনও নদী বা পুকুর খুঁজে পাচ্ছিল না। সে খুব দুঃখিত বোধ করছিল এবং ভেবেছিল যে সে তৃষ্ণায় মারা যাবে।

অবশেষে, সে একটি পাত্র দেখতে পেল। ভেতরে খুব কম জল ছিল। সে তা পান করার চেষ্টা করেছিল, কিন্তু তার ঠোঁট জলে পৌঁছাতে পারেনি। সে চিন্তিত হয়ে পড়েছিল।

তারপর সে পাত্রের কাছে কিছু ছোট পাথর দেখতে পেল। কাকটি একটি ধারণা পেল! সে পাথরগুলো তুলে একে একে পাত্রে ফেলে দিল।

কিছুক্ষণের মধ্যেই জল উঠে এলো। কাকটি জল পান করে খুশিতে উড়ে গেল।

A Witty Crow

Once, a crow was very thirsty. He searched for water everywhere but could not find any river or pond. He thought he would die.

At last, he saw a jar with very little water in it. He put his beak inside. But he could not reach down the water. So, he was flying in despair.

Suddenly the crow saw some pebbles near the jar. So, he thought of a plan. He picked some pebbles and dropped them into the pot one by one.

The water level rose. The crow drank the water and flew away happily.
